Fall Dress

OK so I have been shopping just not updating my closet section of the blog. I will get better I promise. I got this dress at forever21 (one of my all time favorite stores) in NYC. It was only like twenty dollars and its so cute. Its a navy chiffon type material with a tan and orange abstract print. I plan on wearing it in the fall with boots and maybe a scarf. I also bought an orange blazer that will go great with it for cooler weather. Its just one of those dresses you wear a couple of times. Not a major contribution to my wardrobe, but it did catch my eye.

(my pics aren't that great)
It even has a exposed zipper in the back to add a little something more.

More updates soon.

Right now I am really into the old school cat eyed sunglasses. I just cant seem to be able to find the right pair. I have searched all over my town and have found only a couple pair that could work (look out for the scay ones).  So now I turn the the world wide web! Here are some pairs that I found that are what I envision myself wearing.
A purchase is in the works!

I found these on asos.com for $21.95.

These are $20.00 on Etsy.com.

Found on Bluefly.com by Prada $196.00 in black or brown.

Oooo la la I really like these tort shell cat eyes from normakamali.com (of course I do)  $250.00.

Here are a pair of reasonable priced from Urbanoutfitters.com for only $16.00 and you can get them in tort shell also!

These are really pointed at the ends! I found them at stylefind.com for $15.99!!!!

And these for ONLY $9.99!!!!
Stylefind.com is where it's at.

See even Marilyn is into the cat eye look. If she is I am.
Happy Frideeee everyone.

Jalapeno Popper Sandwich

I have created my own love for jalapeno peppers lately. I used to not like them at all..some people say your taste buds change over time? Katherine found this recipe some where and we both thought I should try it out. It is seriously so easy anyone could do it.

This is what you need:
- Sourdough bread
-Spreadable Cream Cheese
-Colby Jack Cheese
-Jalapenos

Everything was pretty cheap. Maybe a little over $10.00 and you have plenty of supplies if you need to use them for another dish.
First, I put a little butter in the skillet and heated it medium(remember I have to take extra precautions not to burn!!). Then I took the bread a spread cream cheese on one side.
I then just sprinkled some colby jack over the cream cheese.
Then I sprinkled jalapenos all over the top (I like a lot). I just slapped the other piece of bread on top to make it complete.
Then I just put it on the skillet and cooked it like a grilled cheese sandwich. It doesn't take as long as I thought.
Flip and cook till it looks like this on both sides and the cheese starts to ooze out! It looks so YUM!!
Wesley was my taste tester last night..he approved!!

This is soooo easy. It took probably ten minutes to prepare and cook. Easy and Fast! The perfect recipe for me. If you have any recipe you want me to try just let me know!! I am up for anything that requires minimum cooking skills!

NYC

As many of you know, I recently went on a trip to New York. It was my second time to the city and I fell in love with it all over again. As you also know I graduated college with a degree in fashion merchandising. Like every other grad, I have been applying for jobs since I graduated. People were interested, but it just seemed like I was in the wrong place and the wrong time. It only makes sense for a girl who loves fashion as much as I do to be in the fashion capitol of the world. So... I set some interviews up with different places and planned a trip with my step-dad(for my bodyguard as Kimmy says). He had never been to the city so it was a good excuse to show him the sights! We explored the city from top to bottom and were official tourists. I went to several interviews and got some offers. Now I just have to decide if everything fits into the place that it should. With a million things running through my mind it all depends on opportunity, timing, money, and me.

I am so lucky to have so many people in my life that love and support me. I am a firm believer in "everything happens for a reason." I truly believe that whatever is suppose to happen will happen. For now I am content with my little life in Alabama until further notice.

Here are some pictures of our awesome time in NYC.
